We are a small, active, welcoming and light hearted private game. However, we will always accept applications and believe that the more is in fact the merrier. All adds will be done as needed. We do not accept challenges and have the right to approve and(or) deny membership into the game. However, if for some reason we deny you, we will do our best to give a detailed explanation as to why your membership was denied as well as work with you to fix it so that you may be approved upon re-applying.

We assume that all players know the typical roleplaying etiquette already but we can't stress enough that the most important rule to follow is to participate and be active. Afterall, there isn't much that can happen or progress within the game unless everyone does their part to keep it moving. We don't expect you to update daily (as we're well aware that real life is greater than the internet) and we don't want to be sticklers with an update limit either. However, if one needs to be applied then we will do so. Failure to be active will result in removal if deemed necessary.

At the moment there are no set role limitations but we ask that you don't bite off more than you can chew. We don't have a problem with those who play multiple roles as we do it ourselves but there is no special treatment, they all must be active and participating within the game. However, original characters will no longer be accepted at this time as there are more than enough available roles for the taking. Once those roles begin to fill up, we will remove that restriction. We ask that you be realistic in the sense of PB that Hogwarts will not be filled with Victoria's Secret models or 40 year old faces played as students either. Mary Su's and(or) Gary Stu's will not be welcomed or tolerated. Even the most skilled of wizards and witches are flawed somehow.

One liners are discouraged in first person journal entries and third person scene threads. This is for courtesy purposes to fellow players. It's a bit disheartening when someone takes the time and effort to write something detailed and well thought out just to receive a few words in return that they can't even properly respond to.

No IC and(or) OOC mixing whatsoever. Please keep in mind that just because someone may play an unfriendly role that it doesn't necessarily mean that out of character they're just as unfriendly. Any issues that your roles might have with one another is expected to remain solely in character. If for any reason a problem erupts involving mixing of the two, we should be notified so that we may take care of it. Repeated mixing and blurring of the lines will result in removal for the simple fact that it takes away from the fun factor of playing and frankly, drives everyone within the game nuts.

Realism is expected as with all action comes consequence. What dirty deeds your role ends up getting into are solely on you as their writer but do keep in mind that consequence and responsibility for what they have done is a given, just like in real life. Pregnancies should be carried out to full term and so on.

“Wars spring from unseen and generally insignificant causes,
the first outbreak being often but an explosion of anger.”

The year is 1996 as students and faculty alike enjoy their last evening of freedom before the upcoming school term starts. However, little did they know that as they slept soundly in their beds that a former evil was taking shape within the Ministry of Magic due to a deadly error made by an Unspeakable within the Department of Mysteries. Morning eventually arrived, but to the astonishment of the wizarding world, daylight ceased to appear at all. The day being just as dark as the night prior, complete darkness enveloping the atmosphere all around them.

As news and rumors spread about the oddity that was occurring amongst them, public fingers automatically pointed to the Death Eaters. However, as Lord Voldemort stood before his followers, he was also pointing the blame, wanting answers. None of which could be given by even his most loyal of supporters.

When something happens and both sides are clueless, who is to blame? When the battle is no longer good verses evil and sides begin to turn on each other, who can be trusted? Is anything sacred any longer? What path will you choose when something that not even Lord Voldemort is prepared to face comes back to finish what it started?

The journals and celebrity portrayals listed and used within the [info]acromantulas game are fictional and are not intended to be taken seriously. The game and it's subsidiaries are solely used for personal entertainment purposes and is in no way meant to infringe on any copyright laws. Roleplaying is just a hobbie and we do not profit from it in any shape or form. All rights to the Harry Potterverse belong to JK Rowling. It is clearly her world, we're just playing in it. All celebrity faces belong to whom which they were born to.
